Our main White Water season runs from
October to March.
During the Summer we run courses in North Wales on the River Dee and Tryweryn.
Moving on from the River Skills introduction courses we improve your white water kayaking. We believe in safety and awareness and will break down the paddling techniques used on white water. Using grade 2 and 3 rapids on the river Usk and Wye
The course will cover foundation skills in white water kayaking control and safety when paddling down grade II/III rapids.
You will also need to begin to think like a white water paddler and learn how to descend a river safely as a team and learn the correct kayaking skills. |

Autumn and Winter October » March
A day trip on the River Usk or Wye. 4 miles of grade II rapids to practice and progress your skills. Working on teamwork, tactics ,Awareness and active blade combinations. Improve your eddie turns with carving techniques and positioning. Ferry gliding and safety drills also a key part of the days training. The course will improve your confidence and understanding of the river and white water skills.

Run over the Saturday and Sunday this 2 day course allows you to build on the first day. An introduction to white water skills at Grade II, With an extra day to improve your skills. More practice time and recapping of the combination strokes. Another river trip will give you time to improve on awareness, planning, rescue skills, tactics, positioning, timing and confidence. A fun 2 day weekend adventure perfecting your kayaking skills

Spread over the week we begin Looking in more detail of at river features, improving on ferry gliding techniques, accuracy, moving around the eddies using teamwork and accurate positioning, Each day will focus on a new aspect of becoming a safe white water kayaker. A mid week pool session will take a look at the kayak rolling skills and improve confidence upside down in a kayak. We also look into move detail with river rescue skills, including the deep water rescue, throw lines, T rescue, boat recovery and paddlers recovery. New paddle combinations will be shown in small training sessions and broken down into steps and practice routines. Each day is spent on grade 2 rapids.

Spring and Summer May » September
2 Days in North Wales on the River Dee and Tryweryn. Meeting in LLangollen on the Saturday morning we will go through key strokes for the day and work on your white water skills and awareness. Repeating some rapids to improve your positioning, timing and rescue skills. The Sunday may be spent on the River Tryweryn in Bala. This is a dam release course and provides grade II and III rapids on the trip. We will run sections according to the groups ability on the day.
