Grade II white water kayaking weekend in Mid Wales.
The aim is to make you more confident in moving water and give you a
set of kayaking techniques to practice. This course will give you a greater
understanding of Grade II white water river skills. Personal feedback will be given throughout
the weekend and advice to progress your paddling
This holiday course provides 2 days of training to control your kayak on
Grade II white water rivers. If your looking to improve your skills and knowledge of
the river environment this weekend is ideal to increase your kayaking confidence
and control on the river, and enjoy the challenge.
We think grade II rapids provide a good training level to enjoy river kayaking and increase your white water kayaking skills and progress your paddling. The course runs from comfortable accommodation and relaxed surroundings.

A spacious detached farmhouse provides 7 bedrooms and plenty of large rooms for briefings and meal times. Ample parking space and gardens. Talybont on Usk is only a 10 minute walk to village pubs and more to explore.
Set In the Usk valley on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Arriving before 8pm, we will introduce all course paddlers and have a relaxed breifing for the weekend. You will have time to settle into your rooms.
During the morning briefing we will talk through kit and safety. The first 4 mile trip begins, with 30 Grade II rapids and lots of fun featuresWe will go through the kayaking skills and river tactics during the day.. Teamwork, control, awareness are all important aspects to becoming a good white water paddler. We will get you thinking!
Saturday Evening - Review 7.00pm - 10.00pm
Sunday - River Trip 10.00am - 5.00pm
After some reflection of the days paddling we will hold an evening breifing to review photos of videos captured during the day.
The second day is all about improving on your own style using either the same
or a different river. You will get the chance to experience surfing several
river waves, improve ferry gliding and tune up your river reading and boat control
skills. De breifing before leaving the accommodation.
